MANCHESTER: Manchester City announced the signing of Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United for £45 million.
The Premier League winners and the 26-year-old England international have agreed to a six-year contract.
He joins Stefan Ortega Moreno and Erling Haaland as Pep Guardiola's third summer additions.
"I am absolutely delighted to have joined Manchester City. City have again proved to be the best team in the country," Phillips said.
"To be able to play under Pep and learn from him and his coaching staff as well as be part of such a fantastic squad is a prospect that I am incredibly excited about."
Phillips still had two years on his Leeds contract after making 235 appearances for eight seasons at Elland Road.

After playing in every match in the postponed Euro 2020 tournament, Phillips made his international debut in September 2020 and was named the men's Player of the Year for England in 2020–21.
